An injection-molded plastic kit of the German anti-aircraft gun of 3.7 cm caliber in the Flak 36 version in 1:35 scale from Bronco. It is a separate weapon on a carriage, not a vehicle. Bronco is known in this series for the fine breakdown of the parts, so the set offers a high degree of detail but calls for patience.
The Flak 36 of 3.7 cm caliber was a German anti-aircraft gun of the medium class: more powerful than the small two-centimeter weapons and more agile than the 88. It stood on a cruciform carriage which the crew spread out on the ground, and for a move it was loaded onto a two-wheeled bogie. Besides defense against low-flying aircraft it was also used with success against ground targets and against light armored vehicles. The weapon was mounted on half-track carriers and on railroad cars as well, so it appears in many forms.
Cut the small parts of the cruciform carriage off with a sharp knife right on the sprue and glue them with a thin cement for plastic. Decide at the start whether you will build the weapon in the firing position with the carriage spread out, or on the transport bogie. Assemble and paint the weapon separately from any diorama and make sure that all the bearing points sit on the surface. Drill the muzzle of the barrel out if it is not open. Empty cartridge cases beside the carriage give a scene a story.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
