A second batch of German jerrycans of the Second World War in 1:35. The 1:35 German jerrycans - WWII - No.2 set from the Royal Model workshop extends the equipment where one set is no longer enough.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is the second set of German jerrycans from the production of the Italian Royal Model. It is intended to keep two completely identical containers from standing on one model. You will not find a vehicle in the package; it is equipment that is added to a finished model.
The containers looked the same on the outside, but the contents differed fundamentally and a mix-up had expensive consequences. A supply of drinking water therefore carried a white cross or prominent lettering, while the fuel examples stayed plain and were recognized by their stamped markings. On the neck and the bottom the maker's mark and the year were usually stamped, which makes surviving examples a collector's item to this day. In practice the containers were carried in wooden or wire racks in fours and sixes and were strapped to a vehicle so that they would not come loose while driving over rough ground.
It is exactly the second number of the line that suits keeping a group of containers on a model from looking like a production molding. Arrange them irregularly, lay one on its side, leave another turned slightly. Grade the finish and apply the markings with a fine brush or a decal; crisp, contrasting marks would be distracting.
The accessories are without paint; the finish, the straps and a base all stay up to the modeler.
