German ABP 1941 and 1942 jerrycans, 1:35, 10 pcs — a 3D-printed resin set of ten German standard jerrycans with the ABP 1941 and 1942 marks, from GINGER CAT.
Responsibility details are not available.
A 3D-printed resin set of German standard jerrycans in 1:35 scale from GINGER CAT, in the form with the ABP 1941 and 1942 marks. The manufacturer gives ten pieces in the package. The jerrycans are fixed to the hull, the fenders or the brackets of a finished model, and they serve equally well as a scenic accessory in a diorama. For this set the manufacturer gives the range of the years 1941 and 1942, so it suits vehicles from the middle phase of the war.
The German standard jerrycan was produced at many plants and each of them stamped its own mark and year into the sheet metal. For a model this means an opportunity for period consistency: a vehicle from 1941 should carry jerrycans made up to that time, not later ones. At the same time it is a welcome chance to bring a scene to life, because in practice jerrycans from various makers and years met in a unit, and each one was scuffed and dusted differently.
3D-printed parts are small and brittle: separate them with a fine-tooth saw or with nippers and level the remains of the print supports with a fine file. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); solvent cement for plastic does not hold. Before painting, spray a thin coat of primer, as a heavy coat would drown the detail.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
