A photo-etched detail set from the Polish manufacturer Aber in 1:35 scale. It contains German license plates of the Second World War period in the form of thin photo-etched plates. It serves as an accessory for models of German military vehicles, replacing flat plastic or decal plates with a faithful three-dimensional metal plate. It is not a model of a vehicle.
German vehicles carried plates with the period symbols of the service branch (Heer, Luftwaffe, Kriegsmarine) and an alphanumeric marking. A photo-etched plate has the right thickness and frame; the code is added with a decal or painted. Suitable for tanks, half-tracks, trucks and cars.
Separate the small plates with a knife on a mat. Coat them with a base color and add the symbols and numbers with a dry transfer or a fine brush. Use contrasting shades for legibility and a final matte varnish. Degrease the metal before painting and apply a primer.
This is a photo-etched detail set, not a model of a vehicle. The base kit, glue, decals and paints are not included in the package.
