Machine gun travel locks for the M36 Jackson 1:35 are 3D-printed replacement parts for the model of the tank destroyer. It is not a kit and not a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of 3D-printed replacement parts in 1:35 scale from the Czech manufacturer Special Hobby. The contents are the locks that on the real vehicle hold the barrel of the machine gun in the travel position. The manufacturer gives them as a replacement for the plastic kit parts, with detail that according to it cannot be achieved in an injection mold for technological reasons.
The M36 Jackson was an American tank destroyer of the end of the Second World War, armed with a 90 mm gun in an open rotating turret. On the turret it carried a heavy machine gun that was stowed in the travel position during moves and secured by a folding lock. It is a small detail, but a clearly visible one on a model, because the open turret leaves the whole upper surface in plain sight.
The parts are printed from photopolymer, so thin print supports are left on them. Cut them off with a sharp scalpel or with nippers for photo-etched parts and sand the marks down with fine abrasive paper. They are bonded with super glue, that is with cyanoacrylate, because cement for polystyrene has no effect on this material. Apply a filler primer before painting, which will also reveal any remains of the supports. It is best to sand wet and with your airways protected.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
