1:35 No. 9 Aerial Base For WS19 Version 1 With Brush Guard is a 3D-printed accessory from Lithokraft: the No. 9 antenna base for the British WS19 radio set, complete with its brush guard. It is a detail part, not a kit of the vehicle.
Responsibility details are not available.
A 3D-printed resin set in 1:35 scale. It holds the No. 9 antenna base that British vehicles carried for the Wireless Set No. 19, in the version with a guard against branches. The manufacturer lists a version 2 as well, so check the version against the vehicle you are building. It is a detail accessory, not a kit of the vehicle.
The Wireless Set No. 19 was the standard tank radio of the British and Allied armies from 1941 and went on serving after the war. It worked in two bands, one for contact with higher command and the other for speech within the unit, and it connected to the antennas through bases designated 8, 9 and 10, seated on the turret roof. The wire guard above the base protected it from being torn off by branches and camouflage nets.
Wash the part in lukewarm soapy water and let it dry. Cut the print supports off very carefully, as the guard is thin and breaks easily; level the pad under the base so that it does not stand crooked on the turret roof. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint it together with the vehicle, then bring the base out with a dark wash into the joint and set the insulator apart in beige or brown, so that it does not merge with the metal.
This is an accessory for the model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
