A photo-etched metal detail set from Aber in 1:35 scale for a model of the German Panzer I Ausf. B light tank. It adds thin metal parts of the exterior, which capture the fine sheet metal elements of the vehicle better.
The Panzer I Ausf. B was an early German light tank that served to train crews and in combat in the first part of the Second World War. It was armed with a pair of machine guns and powered by a gasoline engine; the lengthened chassis with an added road wheel improved handling compared with the Ausf. A. Although it was obsolete, it played an important part in building up the German armored forces.
Break the photo-etched parts out of the fret carefully with a sharp knife and clean the edges up. Make the bends along the etched grooves with a bending tool or with two rulers; thicker parts can be annealed briefly for easier forming. They are glued with super glue (cyanoacrylate) or with two-part epoxy. Apply a primer to the metal before painting, otherwise the paint holds badly.
This is a photo-etched detail set, not the model itself. The model, glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
