The manufacturer also lists, under a separate number, a box meant expressly for the right fender, so check before building which side yours belongs on.
On the fenders above the running gear the Panzer III carried space that units took over for their own stowage boxes for tools, spare parts and personal kit. Because the boxes were not a factory standard but workshop work, their shape and size tell you the particular division. The 24th Panzer Division was formed in 1941 by converting the 1st Cavalry Division and ceased to exist after the fighting at Stalingrad in early 1943, so its vehicles can be placed in a narrow window of time.
Wash the box in lukewarm soapy water. Cut the print supports off with a sharp scalpel and level the bottom flat, so that the box does not catch on the fender with one corner. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). After the primer, spray the same base shade as on the vehicle, but allow yourself heavier wear on the box: chipped paint on the edges, dented sheet metal and fine dust in the corners. The box tends to be the most scuffed place on the vehicle.
