Royal Model 1:35 Sd.Kfz. 131 Marder II - Part 2 is a detail set of etched and resin parts for refining a model of the German Marder II tank destroyer. An accessory for superdetailing, not a model in its own right.
Responsibility details are not available.
The follow-on second part of the upgrade from the Italian maker Royal Model brings fine etched metal and resin parts for refining a model of the German Sd.Kfz. 131 Marder II self-propelled tank destroyer in 1:35 scale. The set is installed on a built plastic kit and completes it with detail of the fighting compartment, fittings and small elements that injection-molded plastic cannot capture faithfully.
The Sd.Kfz. 131 Marder II was a German stopgap tank destroyer of the period of the Second World War, created by seating an antitank gun of 7.5 cm caliber on the chassis of the Panzer II light tank. The open fighting compartment, with no cover above it and with the crew and the kit visible, makes this vehicle a rewarding object for additional detailing and for dioramas.
Wash the resin parts clean of mold release agent and cut off the casting blocks, and bend the fine etched parts over the edge of a ruler. Glue everything with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint the open interior and bring it out with a wash before you close the superstructure up. Before painting, apply a primer that unifies the metal, the resin and the plastic.
This is an additional detail set, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
