Road wheel masks for the Sturmpanzer IV Brummbär in 1:35 scale, cut for Tamiya kits. An end to slow outlining of the tire bands.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of masks for painting the road wheels of the German Sturmpanzer IV assault gun, known by the nickname Brummbär, in 1:35 scale. The set is cut for kits from Tamiya. The chassis is derived from the Pz.Kpfw. IV medium tank and has eight pairs of small road wheels, so outlining the tire bands with a brush is particularly tiring on it.
The Sturmpanzer IV was a heavily armored carrier for a short large-caliber howitzer, built to destroy fortifications and to fight in built-up areas. It was based on the Pz.Kpfw. IV chassis and its tall angular superstructure is unmistakable. It served with independent assault gun battalions, above all in Italy and on the Eastern Front, where its heavy shell could bring down masonry buildings.
The wheel is placed in the cutout in the flexible mask, which covers the rubber tire band and exposes the disc. Paint the tire band first, then fit the mask and spray over the disc. Do not stretch the mask, press it down with a pointed wooden stick once it is seated and spray perpendicular to the surface in thin coats. According to the manufacturer the masks can be used again after cleaning.
This is a painting aid and does not contain the model itself. Paints and the kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
