The manufacturer gives plastic parts supplemented by printed resin and photo-etched parts, workable tracks and five finishes on offer, among them an ambulance version. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Sd.Kfz. 251 was the main German halftrack carrier of the Second World War: a wheeled axle at the front, tracks at the rear, a hull with angular sloped armor and an open fighting compartment for the infantry it carried. The Ausf. A version came from the first production batch and differed from the later ones in a number of details of the hull and the equipment. More than twenty specialized variants came from it, from an ambulance to a weapons carrier.
With military subjects it pays to keep to the order: the running gear and interior first, then closing up the hull, and only at the end the small accessories. Glue the plastic parts with a thin cement for plastic, fill the gaps and sand them smooth. After the primer and the main shade comes a dark wash into the recesses, which draws out the detail, and a drybrush on the edges. Build dust and mud effects with pigments from the bottom up and only in the places where the dirt would really get.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
