Two models of the Igla-1 (9K310) man-portable air defense system in 1:35 scale from Spalah. 3D-printed resin, an accessory for figures and vehicles.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is small armament, not a model of a vehicle: two pieces of the Igla-1 man-portable anti-aircraft missile system with the type designation 9K310, in 1:35 scale. The box states two pieces. The maker is the Ukrainian brand Spalah, which 3D-prints its parts from photopolymer resin. Printing has a clear point here, because the launch tube with its grip, power battery and sight has so many small edges that it would be simplified in injection-molded plastic at this scale.
The Igla-1, under the North Atlantic Alliance reporting name SA-16 Gimlet, is a Soviet man-portable anti-aircraft missile system taken into service in the 1980s. The gunner fires it from the shoulder and the seeker head follows the heat signature of the target. The system spread to dozens of armies and is still seen in conflicts around the world, with regular units as well as with irregular groups.
Wash the print resin residue off the parts, cut the print supports away and sand the marks with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint the tube over a primer, preferably with an airbrush, so that the fine engraving does not clog. A dark wash will bring out the outlines of the grip and the battery; small warning stripes and markings are usually done with a very fine brush.
This is an accessory, not a kit. Figures, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
