The small fret 1:35 Sherman Suspension Details deals exclusively with the running gear of the American tank.
Responsibility details are not available.
A small accessory aimed at one specific place on a model: the running gear of the American Sherman medium tank. Around the suspension bogies there is a whole series of thin sheet-metal elements that tend to be only suggested on a molded part, and it is precisely those that the set replaces with metal. In extent it is a smaller fret, so it is an upgrade that takes little work.
The Sherman was built throughout the war and its running gear went through development. Older vehicles carried bogies with vertical springs, where the return roller sat above the bogie and the track was narrower; later ones received suspension with horizontal springs, a wider track and differently arranged covers. That is why the suspension gives away at first glance which period a vehicle comes from, and modelers pay it more than average attention. A great many vehicles also ran with damaged or missing covers, which leaves room for an individual approach.
Assemble and paint the running gear separately, and only then join it to the hull. Glue the fine metal elements on only once the tracks are fitted, otherwise you will knock them off while tensioning them. Apply mud and dust from the bottom upward and let them fade out, so that the result does not look like a continuous layer.
The kit and the painting materials are to be dealt with separately.
