The set of stowage and equipment for the M26 Pershing heavy tank in 1:35 scale from Royal Model completes the armor with crates, tarpaulins and the crew's personal belongings.
Responsibility details are not available.
Castings of polyurethane resin capture what American crews lashed onto the hull and the turret: bags, rolled tarpaulins, boxes, fuel containers and small items of equipment. The set is laid out so that the parts seat on the shapes of a particular car.
The M26 Pershing was the answer to the German heavy tanks, against which the Sherman was not enough in a direct duel. The 90 mm gun could at last threaten even heavily armored targets and the front takes considerably more than previous American types. The first cars reached Europe at the beginning of 1945 and their best-known appearance took place in Cologne and at the bridge at Remagen. Real employment came only in Korea, where the Pershing clashed with Soviet T-34/85 tanks and held its own, although it was heavy for the terrain there and underpowered. It was precisely the Korean experience that led to its later reworking.
Rinse the resin in lukewarm water with detergent and let it dry. Cut the blocks off with a saw and level the seating surface with abrasive paper used wet. Cyanoacrylate glue will manage the attachment. Make the lashing straps yourself from a thin strip of paper or from lead foil.
The tank itself, glue and paints are not enclosed.
