Castings of stowage and equipment for the German Marder II tank destroyer in 1:35 scale fill the open fighting compartment the way the real crews did.
Responsibility details are not available.
An assortment cast in resin that adds to a model the material the crews carried with them. Crates, tarpaulins, bundles and containers give an open space a lived-in look and at the same time cover the places where the bare floor would otherwise show. The vehicle itself is not included.
The Marder II came about by converting the chassis of the Panzer II light tank into a carrier for a 75 mm anti-tank gun. The tall superstructure, open only at the top, gave the crew a decent gun but next to no protection, so the machine suited firing from a prepared position rather than attacking. It was deployed mainly on the Eastern Front, and its value lay in the speed with which German production could get a heavy weapon onto tracks. The crews made up for the lack of comfort by piling onto the hull everything that could be lashed down.
First lay the parts out dry and find a composition that does not cover the interesting details of the interior. Only then glue them on with cyanoacrylate glue. Canvas looks better with a matte surface and lightly dusted folds, and wooden crates deserve the grain picked out with a fine brush. Unify the transition between the stowage and the floor with a common filter and fine dust at the bottom.
