Stowage and equipment for the StuG III Ausf. G in 1:35 scale is a resin collection of crates, drums and rolled tarpaulins with which a finished model of the German assault gun is completed. Target kit: Tamiya.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Sturmgeschütz III is among the most photographed German vehicles and in almost every period shot it is carrying a lot of extra material. That is exactly what this set from the Italian manufacturer Royal Model offers: resin crates, drums, baskets, rolled tarpaulins and crew equipment, complemented by photo-etched parts. The vehicle is not supplied in the package. The set is intended for the Tamiya kit.
The Ausf. G is the last and most numerous version of the series. Over seven thousand of them were built and you can tell it from the earlier forms by the wider superstructure, the machine gun shield and, later, the cast gun mantlet. A vehicle without a turret was cheaper to produce than a tank, it had a low silhouette and it served both to support infantry and to destroy armored targets.
Before you reach for paint, bathe the castings in a warm bath with a degreasing agent. The casting blocks are separated with a saw, not with side cutters, as resin cracks. Bend the photo-etched parts on the edge of a ruler and attach them with gel cyanoacrylate glue, which gives you time to align them. Plan the layout of the stowage dry in advance, so that you do not cover the hatches.
Paints, glue and a basic model are not in the package. Get the set, therefore, at the point when you already have the kit of the assault gun ready to be finished off.
