T-34/76 F-34 barrel, 1:35 — a 3D-printed resin accessory from GINGER CAT.
Responsibility details are not available.
A 3D-printed resin barrel of the Soviet F-34 tank gun for a model of the T-34/76 tank in 1:35 scale from GINGER CAT. The manufacturer gives one piece in the package. The barrel goes on in place of the plastic part from the kit: printed resin holds a circular cross-section with no mold seam and has an open muzzle, so there is no need to drill it.
The 76.2 mm F-34 gun was the main weapon of the T-34 tank from 1941. Compared with the earlier L-11 weapon it had a longer barrel, a higher muzzle velocity and better penetrating power, so at the start of the war it could threaten every German tank. It was built in enormous numbers and was also used on other Soviet armored vehicles. Only the arrival of the heavy German tanks led to rearmament with an 85 mm gun.
3D-printed parts are small and brittle: separate them with a fine-tooth saw or with nippers and level the remains of the print supports with a fine file. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); solvent cement for plastic does not hold. Before painting, spray a thin coat of primer, as a heavy coat would drown the detail.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
