1:350 German Submarine Type VII C/41 is a starter package with a kit of a German submarine of the Second World War. The manufacturer encloses basic paints, a brush and cement.

An injection-molded plastic kit of the German attack submarine of Type VII C/41 in 1:350 scale from the German manufacturer Revell. The Starter Kit edition is put together as a complete starter package: according to the manufacturer, basic shades of water-thinnable acrylic paints, a brush, cement for plastic, a decal sheet and an instruction sheet are added to the parts. The finished model measures about 19 centimeters according to the manufacturer.
Type VII was the most numerous submarine of the Second World War and it bore the main weight of the Battle of the Atlantic. The VII C/41 version is its late development stage from the years 1943 to 1945: it was given a stronger and at the same time lighter pressure hull, which allowed diving to greater depths, and markedly strengthened anti-aircraft defense compared with the older boats. On the extended platform behind the conning tower, which the crews called the Wintergarten, it carried twin 20 mm guns and one 37 mm cannon. A retractable snorkel, which made it possible to charge the batteries without surfacing, was also part of the late equipment.
In 1:350 scale the submarine is small, but the hull is made up of only a few large parts, so the build moves quickly. Fill and sand the longitudinal hull joint, because on a smooth side every groove shows. A coat of filler primer pays off, then a lighter gray on the sides and a darker one on the upper surfaces. The sharp details of the railing and of the main guns come out with a dark wash; the bottom of the hull can be lightly toned with a rusty shade.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The basic paints, the brush and the cement are part of this package according to the manufacturer, other accessories are not, unless stated otherwise.
