1:48 F-4 Phantom, Martin-Baker Mk.H-7 ejection seats without seat belts (2 pcs) from Art Scale are resin 3D-printed parts for the Phantom cockpit, according to the manufacturer for the Tamiya kit. The version without belts is for modelers who add the belts themselves.
Responsibility details are not available.
A pair of resin ejection seats made by 3D printing for the F-4 Phantom model in 1:48 scale, in the version without seat belts. It is not an aircraft kit but an accessory replacing the seats from the plastic kit. The packaging identifies the type as Martin-Baker Mk.H-7 and the manufacturer recommends the set for the Tamiya Phantom kit. The version without belts is for those who do the belts with photo-etched parts, with 3D-printed decals or with fabric.
The McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II was a two-seat twin-engine machine of the US Navy, the US Air Force and the Marine Corps, and it served for long years with many other operators as well. The Martin-Baker Mk.H7 series seats replaced the earlier Mk.H5 in the Phantom: they have a rocket motor instead of a cartridge mechanism and a hard parachute container instead of a soft bag, so they work even at zero altitude and zero speed. And from the cockpit the seat is the most prominent detail of all.
Wash the resin in warm water with detergent, remove the print supports after warming the part in hot water and level the surfaces with a file. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). After the primer spray the seat with the base color, finish the padding and the handles with a brush and bring out the details with a wash. Add the belts as the last step so that they do not bend while you work.
The basic kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
