A detailed resin set of the exhaust system for models of the fighter Curtiss Hawk H-75 in the M, N and O versions in 1:48 scale. It is not a model of an aircraft but an accessory for experienced modelers, which replaces the parts from the box with a more faithful casting with open exhaust mouths and a fine texture.
Exhausts are among the visually exposed places on an engine and their faithful rendering markedly lifts the overall impression of a model. A resin casting offers sharper edges and realistic shapes that injection-molded plastic manages with difficulty, and creates a rewarding surface for painting metallic and burned shades.
Wash the parts free of any mold release agent, cut the casting blocks off and clean them up. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate), and sand with protection for your airways. The exhausts will appreciate dark metallic shades with heat tints into brown and blue and fine highlighting of the edges.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted, as a resin accessory. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
