A decal sheet in 1:48 scale for the British fighter Hawker Hurricane Mk.I in the service of the Finnish Air Force in the Second World War, from the Hungarian company SBS Model. It is neither a kit nor a part of one but a set of decals that you apply to a model already built and painted. The set belongs to an extensive line that the manufacturer devoted to the Finnish, Hungarian and Swedish air forces.
Finland obtained a small batch of Hurricane Mk.I fighters at the start of the Winter War and then put the machines into combat service. The Finnish markings were quite different from the British: instead of roundels the aircraft carried a blue swastika in a white disc, which was the national emblem of the Finnish Air Force adopted back in 1918 and unconnected with the German use of the same figure. On the Hurricanes the fuselage codes began with the letters HC. Finnish machines also received a camouflage scheme of their own, with olive and black on the upper surfaces and light blue underneath.
