I-16 type 5 INTERIOR 1:48 is a photoetched interior set from the maker Clear Prop Models for a more faithful cockpit of the Soviet Polikarpov I-16 fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a photoetched interior accessory, not the model itself. The set from the maker Clear Prop Models contains photoetched parts for raising the fidelity of the cockpit of the Polikarpov I-16 type 5 fighter in 1:48 scale. It typically brings elements such as the instrument panel, side panels, belts and small levers, which liven the interior of the model up.
The Polikarpov I-16 was a Soviet monoplane fighter of the 1930s, one of the first production fighters with retractable landing gear and a cantilever all-metal wing combined with a wooden fuselage structure. The type 5 version was among the early production ones. The cockpit of the I-16 was cramped and uncluttered, which is why detailed photoetch stands out well here.
Bend the photoetched parts carefully and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Degrease the colored instrument panels first and spray them with a base color. Finish and paint the interior before closing the fuselage up, otherwise a great many details would stay invisible.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
