Mosquito four-blade propellers, 2 pieces, 1:48 (Ginger Cat) are two printed resin four-blade propellers for a Mosquito model in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of two printed resin four-blade propellers for a de Havilland Mosquito model in 1:48 scale from the Turkish brand Ginger Cat. The manufacturer designs its accessories in house and makes them by high-resolution resin printing. The box gives the count of two pieces, which matches a twin-engine aircraft. This is an accessory to a kit, not a model of the aircraft.
The de Havilland Mosquito was a twin-engine machine of largely wooden construction, used as a bomber, a night fighter, a reconnaissance aircraft and a strike aircraft. Most machines had three-blade propellers, but four-blade propellers appeared on later and special versions. Mixing up the number of blades is immediately visible on a model, because the propeller, together with the engine nacelles, is the first thing a viewer notices on a twin-engine aircraft.
First wash the printed resin parts in warm soapy water so that the print residue disappears from the surface and the paint will hold. Cut off the supports with a saw or a cutting disc, never with nippers, which will break the resin. The manufacturer recommends applying a base before painting. Glue the parts with cyanoacrylate glue or epoxy, as cement for plastic will not hold here. A dark wash into the recesses and a drybrush on the edges will draw out the detail. Wear a respirator while sanding.
This is an accessory to a model, not a kit. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
