A masking set for the road wheels of the Pz. 38(t) tank in 1:48 scale covers the tire bands of the four large wheels on each side of the running gear. The set is cut for Tamiya kits.

The set is a painting accessory, not a kit. It contains masks that cover areas of the road wheels while you spray, so that a different shade with a sharp edge stays on them. In terms of shape it is tied to Tamiya kits.
The running gear of this tank is unmistakable: only four wheels per side, but of exceptionally large diameter, suspended in pairs on leaf springs. The wheel diameter is so large in relation to the height of the hull that the wheels are the visually strongest element of the whole vehicle, and yet there is little room above them, so a brush is hard to guide in there. The drive sprocket is at the front, the idler wheel at the rear, and above the running gear runs a pair of small return rollers whose tire bands are noticeably narrower than those of the road wheels. That difference in diameter between the roller and the wheel is a good reason why pre-cut masks are worth it: the width of the tire band should look consistent on the large wheel and on the small one alike, and that is hard to hit freehand. The riveted hull also draws the viewer's eye to the running gear.
First check that the masks match the wheels in your kit by laying them on the sprue parts dry. Then wash the wheels in lukewarm water with detergent and degrease them so that the mask holds all the way around. On large smooth discs a thin primer is doubly useful: it gives the mask a surface to grip and at the same time shows up any scratches or sanding marks that would otherwise only appear under the paint. Assemble the running gear so that the wheels can be painted and unmasked before the tracks go on, because after that the space between the track and the hull is too narrow.
The package contains the masks only. The kit, paints and glue are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
