Boarding steps for the MiG-23 in 1:48 scale from Plusmodel. An accessory for an airfield scene; it is not an aircraft model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is an accessory part, not an aircraft model. The MiG-23 stands higher on its landing gear than its predecessor, so the steps that go with it are taller and have more treads. That difference is exactly why steps are made separately for each type and why they cannot simply be swapped between machines. On a model they are useful twice over: they give the scene scale and a story, because an aircraft with steps at the cockpit is clearly either about to take off or has just landed, and at the same time they fill the space around the model that would otherwise stay empty.
The accessory suits modelers of Soviet and Eastern Bloc equipment who are building an airfield scene, and anyone who displays or photographs a model. The build is undemanding, as it is a small assembly with few parts. With Eastern Bloc equipment it is moreover the ground support gear that makes a scene recognizable.
It is not an aircraft model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
