Responsibility details are not available.
Injection-molded plastic kit of the British Avro 683 Lancaster Mk.I/III heavy bomber in 1:72 scale from Revell. The model has a detailed surface with engraved panel lines, a cockpit with an instrument panel, an openable bomb bay, rotating defensive turrets and clear parts. Because of the size of the real aircraft the result is a large and striking display model. It is a more demanding build for experienced modelers.
The Lancaster was without doubt the most famous British heavy bomber of the Second World War. From 1942 it formed the backbone of the Royal Air Force night raids deep over Germany. It made its name with its large bomb load and with legendary operations, among them the sinking of the battleship Tirpitz and the raids on the German dams. It was powered by four Rolls-Royce Merlin engines.
Glue the large fuselage and the long wings in stages with thin cement for plastic, and keep the engine nacelles symmetrical. Finish the interior, the bomb bay and the turrets before you close up the fuselage. Mask the glazing and paint with an airbrush. Apply the matte night camouflage over a primer coat, and pick out the engraved lines with a light panel wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
