Amodel 1:72 Challenger CL-600 is a kit of the Canadian business jet from which a whole family of regional jet airliners later grew.
Responsibility details are not available.
A kit of the Canadair Challenger CL-600 business jet in 1:72 scale. The Ukrainian brand Amodel concentrates on subjects that the large makers do not offer, chiefly airliners and special-purpose aircraft. With kits of this kind, allow for the parts needing dry-fitting and filling here and there; in return you get a type you cannot buy anywhere else. The scope of the package, the part count and the number of decal schemes are not stated by the manufacturer.
The Challenger CL-600 first flew in 1978 and brought to the business aircraft category an unusually wide cabin in which it was possible to walk about and to sit facing one another at a table. It has two engines mounted at the rear of the fuselage and a T-tail. The type proved itself so well that a whole family of regional jet airliners grew out of its design and then flew with dozens of companies all over the world. Besides corporate transport, Challengers also serve as air ambulance, reconnaissance and government machines.
The most work goes into a smooth fuselage surface, because airliners are finished in gloss white and that forgives no irregularity. Fill the joints, sand them down and spray a primer, which will reveal the faults. Apply the paint in thin coats and lay the decals over a gloss base. Glue the cockpit glazing and the cabin windows last so that they do not get fogged. Try the engine nacelles and the landing gear dry before you put glue on them.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
