Responsibility details are not available.
A plastic kit of the British twin-engined fighter from the Czech brand AZ model. The box states the F Mk.I version, that is the first production form of the land-based fighter. The number of parts and the number of marking schemes are not stated by the manufacturer; with kits from smaller makers, count moreover on dry-fitting the parts and filling the joints.
The Hornet was a British twin-engined fighter designed for long-range operations over the Pacific. In its structure it drew on the experience with the Mosquito and used wood in combination with metal, but its Rolls-Royce Merlin engines were handed, so the propellers turned against each other and the aircraft did not suffer from torque. It was among the fastest piston-engined aircraft ever, though it did not make it into the fighting of the Second World War. Later it served in Malaya and, in a carrier version, with the navy as well.
Try the seating of the engine nacelles and the wing dry first; on a twin-engined aircraft every asymmetry shows up in a view from the front. Finish the cockpit before you close the fuselage up. British surface finishes differed after the war: some machines had a bare metal finish, some camouflage, so work out your sequence from the diagram before you reach for the primer. Glue the propellers last and check that both turn in the correct, that is the opposite, sense.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
