A finished, assembled and painted model of the Bell AH-1S attack helicopter in 1:72 scale in Israeli Air Force markings. Easy Model is the collector's line of the Chinese manufacturer Trumpeter: the model comes out of the box built, sprayed and with markings applied, so it needs neither glue nor paints. The fuselage number 234 is given on the box; which squadron the machine belonged to is not stated here.
The AH-1 Cobra was the first production helicopter designed from the outset as an attack machine: a narrow fuselage with a two-man crew seated in tandem, stub wings for armament and a rotating turret under the nose. The Israeli Air Force adopted the name Tzefa, meaning viper, for it. The AH-1S version received a flat, angular canopy that cut down reflections, and TOW anti-tank missiles were added to the armament; with them the Cobras went into action from the late 1970s in Lebanon and on other fronts. They left Israeli service in 2013, when the AH-64 Apache fully replaced them.
Finished models are usually displayed without any alteration. If you want more, a faint dust on the landing gear and bringing out the panel joints with a wash are the obvious options. The rotor and the tail rotor are the most delicate parts, so pick the model up by the fuselage and check before display that the blades are straight.
The model is finished, assembled and painted. It is not a kit and you need neither glue nor paints for it, unless stated otherwise.
