The PT-76B is a plastic kit of the Soviet light amphibious tank in 1:72 scale from PST.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet PT-76 light amphibious tank in the B version, in 1:72 scale. This is a short-run kit with the parts on sprues of green plastic; compared with the large manufacturers it calls for more careful cleaning up of the sprue gates and for dry-fitting the parts. The model offers an interesting armored subject that the major brands often leave alone in this scale.
The PT-76 was a Soviet light amphibious tank intended for reconnaissance and for crossing water obstacles thanks to its waterjet propulsion. The PT-76B version brought two-plane gun stabilization, a two-baffle muzzle brake and a fume extractor. The vehicle came into wide use among the armies of the Warsaw Pact and of other countries and saw action in a number of conflicts in the second half of the 20th century.
Finish and paint the running gear and the tracks before closing the hull. Separate the small parts, such as the lights, grab handles and hull stowage, carefully and glue them with liquid cement for plastic. Soviet green comes out well after spraying with an airbrush, with the edges picked out by drybrushing and weathering with a wash and pigments for mud effects, which suit an amphibious vehicle particularly well.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
