Rheinbote, the V-4 tactical rocket with its launcher in 1:72 is a plastic model of the German multistage rocket of the Second World War from Special Armour.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic model in 1:72 scale captures the German Rheinbote tactical rocket together with its launcher. It is a short-run kit of an interesting and rarely covered subject in German rocket technology. The model will appeal to collectors of rockets and experimental equipment of the Second World War and to builders of smaller dioramas.
Rheinbote was a multistage solid-fuel ground-to-ground tactical rocket developed by the Rheinmetall-Borsig concern between 1941 and 1944. Thanks to its several stages it achieved a considerable range of hundreds of kilometers, but it carried only a small warhead, so its military value was limited. It was launched from a specially adapted transport and launch vehicle.
With a short-run kit, expect finer casting blocks and flash: clean the parts up carefully and dry-fit them before gluing. Glue the joints with liquid cement for plastic. Apply a base coat before painting; the slender body of the rocket and the launch rail are brought out by gentle shading and discreet weathering with a wash, so that the detail of the structure shows.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
