A plastic kit of the Tatra 57 assault detachment light car in 1:72 scale from the Czech maker Attack. The Profi boxing with resin wheels and photo-etched parts.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Tatra 57 light car in the military configuration for an assault detachment, in 1:72 scale. The maker is the Czech brand Attack, and this boxing belongs to its Profi line: the box states resin details, specifically the wheels, and a photo-etched set. The manufacturer developed the kit from accurate three-dimensional data and produces it in a new steel mold, so this is not an old mold in a new box.
The Tatra 57 was a small passenger car with an air-cooled engine, derived from the Tatra design school with its central backbone tube. In the second half of the 1930s a special series of forty modified cars was built for the Chinese army. The cars were shipped halfway round the world and saw combat; after the war four badly damaged examples came back to Koprivnice for repair and at least one survives in a museum.
Glue the plastic with a thin cement for polystyrene, but the resin wheels and the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). This is a short-run kit, so always test-fit dry and allow for filling. Apply a primer before painting. On a car this small the cleanliness of the surfaces and the thinness of the parts decide the result, so do not bury the photo-etched parts in paint or they will lose their relief. Paint the resin wheels separately.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
