Grumman A-6 Intruder and EA-6B Prowler is an English monograph on the carrier-based attack bomber and its version for electronic warfare, volume number 146 of the Warpaint Series.
Responsibility details are not available.
An English-language monograph from the Warpaint Series of the British house Guideline Publications. The author is Andy Evans, and the drawings were supplied by Sam Pearson. It is a softcover publication in the A4 format usual for the whole series, not a kit: the package holds no model. One volume here covers two very different roles of the same airframe, the attack role and the jamming role, and with this type that is practical: the versions differ from each other in the additions on the fuselage and on the tail, so it is useful to have them side by side.
For modelers who are building an Intruder or a Prowler and are looking for a reference for the finish and the insignia of a particular squadron, and for anyone interested in carrier aviation. The A-6 was created as a heavy attack machine for flight in any weather, the crew sits side by side in it and the aircraft carried an extensive navigation and targeting suite; the EA-6B Prowler grew out of it as a specialized machine for electronic warfare with ECM jamming pods and with a lengthened forward section for two more crew members. Both types served for whole decades and their finishes went the road from conspicuous gray-and-white schemes to low-visibility shades, which gives a choice to anyone building more than one model as well. The text is in English. Check the extent, the structure and the language version on the packaging.
