A woven mesh of synthetic fiber in a coarser form. The sheet measures nineteen by ten and a half centimeters and suits aircraft models in 1:48 scale. It is a material, not a finished part: the shape you need is cut from it and glued in wherever a grille, a net or a wire mesh belongs.
Cut the mesh with sharp scissors and with a small margin; the edge then hides under a frame or under the glue. Degrease it before painting, otherwise the paint will not hold on the fiber and will draw into droplets. The best procedure is to spray it while it is still on the sheet and only then cut the shape out. For gluing it in, use PVA glue or a very small amount of super glue, which will however stiffen the mesh. If you want the mesh to stay see-through, apply the paint in a thin coat from a greater distance, so that the openings do not fill in.
