This is not a vehicle model but an accessory set. It holds eight pieces of American jerrycans together with their brackets, that is, with the mounts by which the cans were fastened to a fender, to the side of the cargo bed or to the rear wall of a vehicle. The maker is the Czech brand Plusmodel, which has long concentrated on small equipment for military vehicles.
A jerrycan is the most ordinary and at the same time the most eloquent detail on a model of a military vehicle. Empty fenders look as if straight off the production line, while a couple of cans in their brackets say at once that the vehicle is in the field. The brackets matter more in sets like this than the cans themselves: without them a can merely lies on the model, with them it has a clear and faithful mounting that stands up to a close look.
First wash the parts in lukewarm water with dish soap because of the remains of release agent. Cut the casting remains off and level the surface; they are glued with cyanoacrylate, that is, super glue. Paint the jerrycans separately from the vehicle and fit them only once they are finished, otherwise you will not reach the walls of the bracket with a brush. Worn paint on the edges and rusty traces around the filler cap will turn them into used pieces rather than depot stock.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
