A plinth for displaying a model with a rectangular top surface measuring twelve by six centimeters, made of fiberboard with a lacquered surface in a hazelnut brown shade. An elongated shape is more practical than a round one wherever the model itself is elongated: with vehicles, aircraft, ships and with pairs of figures that a round surface pushes needlessly close together.
A model is held most firmly on pins drilled in from above; gluing flat is weaker, especially with heavier pieces. When drilling into fiberboard proceed slowly and support the piece, as the board splinters at the edge. The lacquered surface is wiped with a damp cloth and does not tolerate solvents. If you want to add terrain to the plinth, bear in mind that wet materials can lift the board, so it is better to build the foundation on a plastic or cardboard insert and only then attach that.
For collectors of finished models, for builders of small dioramas and for anyone who wants to give an elongated model a dignified place in a display case.
Keep the product dry, as fiberboard does not tolerate damp. Store it out of the reach of children.
