DSPIAE SP-ES08 abrasive papers for flat heads, 800 grit

Five self-adhesive abrasive papers cut for the flat sanding heads of the electric reciprocating sander. The 800 grit no longer changes the shape, it only wipes out the scratches left by the 600 grit and leaves a face on which you can judge whether a joint really is level. A flat head keeps a true face while doing so, so a panel stays flat and an edge stays sharp.

When to reach for them

After the 600 grit and before the finer grades. From this grit upward it starts to make sense to check the surface under a raking side light, because a coarser texture hides any flaw among its own scratches.

How to work with them

• Clean the head before sticking the paper on; it will not hold on dust.
• Work without pressure and always with the whole face of the head, otherwise the edge will cut a scratch.
• Clean the part between grits, as a grain from the coarser step will make a scratch.
• Replace a clogged paper; a blocked abrasive burnishes the surface instead of cutting it.
• On narrow panels guide the head along them, not across, so that you do not run over the edge.

Who they are for

The refill is for owners of the electric reciprocating sander with flat heads. It comes into play on builds with large flat faces, that is on vehicles, buildings, ship superstructures and robot figures. The sander and the sanding heads are not included in the package.

Do not breathe in the sanding dust from plastic and resin; work with extraction or at least with a respirator.
