This is an abrasive material, not a tool: self-adhesive abrasive paper from the Chinese maker DSPIAE in 1500 grit. The box states 30 pieces. The self-adhesive backing is a real advantage in modeling work: the paper sticks to a sanding block, to a file or to an offcut of plastic and stays there, so it does not flap or crease, and the abrasive face stays exactly where you want it.
For modelers who want the sanding face in an exact shape, and for anyone working on gloss car bodies. 1500 grit is fine and meant for finishing: it takes almost no material off and serves to smooth the surface, not to correct the shape. It does not suit putty or sprue nubs, which need a far coarser grade, because fine paper would simply clog.
Sanding creates dust. Work with respiratory protection, especially when sanding resin or putty, and always wash the surface afterwards and let it dry before you paint. Keep out of the reach of children. Replace the paper once it clogs rather than tapping it out: clogged grit stops cutting and starts to burnish, so the work looks finished while the scratches stay under the gloss.
