3D-printed Merlin engine exhausts for the Spitfire in 1:72 scale from the Czech manufacturer Kovozavody Prostejov. A replacement set of exhaust stacks for the Spitfire I-XI and XVI variants powered by the Rolls-Royce Merlin engine.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from the Czech manufacturer Kovozavody Prostejov contains finely 3D-printed exhausts (exhaust stacks) for a model of the Supermarine Spitfire fighter in 1:72 scale. It is intended for the Spitfire variants powered by the Rolls-Royce Merlin engine, specifically the Mk.I to Mk.XI and Mk.XVI series. It is not a kit of the aircraft but a detail replacement accessory.
The Merlin exhaust stacks are among the prominent details on the fuselage of the Spitfire. 3D printing makes it possible to reproduce the hollow mouths of the exhausts and a fine texture that injection-molded plastic usually cannot manage. The result is more faithful above all on a finished and shaded model.
Carefully separate the parts from the print supports and clean them up. Glue them with cyanoacrylate (super glue). Degrease the surface before painting and use a primer; burnt metal and rusty shades work well, brought out afterwards with pigments.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
