This item is not an airplane model but a standalone 3D printed kit of the MHU-141M ground munitions trailer in 1:48 scale from the manufacturer Reskit. It is the same trailer as in 1:32 scale, only reduced for the popular 1:48 aircraft. At air bases the trailer is used to move and load munitions — bombs, rockets and other stores — to combat aircraft. The type 1 version carries a weapon platform; alongside it there is also a type 2 variant with a flat cargo bed. The 3D print captures the fine detail of the platform, the running gear and the supporting structure.
The MHU-141M belongs to the ground support equipment of an air base and is a rewarding addition to a diorama or a display case with models of modern combat aircraft. It gives the scene action and the aircraft model a natural context.
This is a resin 3D printed kit for more experienced modelers. Separate the parts carefully from the print supports, wash them in warm water with dish soap and clean them up. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); cement for plastic does not hold on resin. Apply a primer before painting; washes and pigments for operational grime and dust come in useful at the end.
The manufacturer also makes the same trailer in the larger 1:32 scale. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted as a 3D printed resin kit; glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package.
