A pair of resin figures in 1:35 scale from the French brand BlackSnake Model. The set portrays modern American marines (US Marines) from the period of Operation Iraqi Freedom in desert gear. The figures are printed on a 3D printer at high resolution and are supplied unpainted and unassembled.
Operation Iraqi Freedom was the deployment of coalition forces in Iraq begun in 2003. The US Marine Corps used desert camouflage and modern personal gear at the time. The figures 01 and 02 form a pair with different poses, which can be supplemented with further numbered figures of the same series.
Wash the resin parts free of the mold release agent and cut the casting blocks off. Glue with cyanoacrylate and sand with respiratory protection. Apply primer and paint with acrylics; for desert uniforms and tactical gear, graded sand and khaki shades work well, and the detail is tuned with washes and dry brushing.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
