This is NOT an airplane model but a resin detail set of exhausts in 1:48 scale from the Clear Prop Models brand. It replaces the plastic exhaust stacks of the Spitfire Mk.IXe with more faithful resin parts with hollowed-out mouths on the exhaust pipes. According to the product name the set is intended for the Airfix kit.
The Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IXe was a late version of the legendary British fighter, powered by a Rolls-Royce Merlin engine and fitted with the e wing and its revised armament. The rows of exhaust pipes along the engine cowling are among the striking and clearly visible features of the model.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
