A resin set of replacement wheels from Clear Prop Models in 1:72 scale. The type 2 designation refers to a particular form of the landing gear wheels of the Wessex HC.2. Cast resin wheels tend to be sharper and more faithful than the parts from a sprue, and they also make painting easier, because the tire and the hub can be separated with masking.
The Westland Wessex HC.2 was a British transport and rescue helicopter powered by a pair of turbine units, derived from the American Sikorsky H-34 design. It served with the RAF and was deployed in many parts of the world. The landing gear of the Wessex consisted of fixed wheels, whose form varied during its service.
Wash the parts free of the mold release agent and cut them off the casting blocks. Glue the wheels with cyanoacrylate. Separate the hub and the tire with masking; we recommend toning the rubber to a matte dark gray rather than a deep black. Apply primer before painting.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the basic kit are not included in the package.
