A plastic kit of the Imperial TIE Interceptor fighter in 1:48 scale from the MPC brand. It is a snap-fit model: the parts snap together, so the build needs no glue. The packaging follows the line of the classic Star Wars models and it suits beginners too.
The TIE Interceptor is an improved version of the Imperial TIE fighter with pointed wing panels. It appeared in the film Return of the Jedi and is among the faster and more agile Imperial machines.
The model can be built straight out of the box, but gentle shading and accentuating the panel lines with a wash will add to the fighter's credibility. Take care that the large wing panels seat firmly.
The snap-fit kit is supplied unassembled. Glue and paints can be used for a firmer joint and a painted finish, but they are not included in the package.
