The sheet brings printed decals in 1:72 scale for finishing models of the Curtiss P-40 fighter in the B and E versions, that is the machines known under the names Tomahawk and Kittyhawk, in the markings of the Turkish Air Force. There are no plastic or resin parts in the package — this is an accessory for a kit, which the modeler obtains separately. It is made by the Turkish brand Tiger Head Models, which devotes itself consistently to the subject of its home air force.
The Curtiss P-40 was one of the types that spread into the armament of a number of Allied and neutral countries in the Second World War. Turkey was among its operators, and the machines wore home national insignia there. For a modeler it is an interesting combination: a well-known airframe with its characteristic radiator under the engine, but in markings that differ markedly from the usual American, British and Soviet schemes. The B and E versions differ above all in the engine installation and in the shape of the forward fuselage that goes with it, so before building it is worth checking which of them your kit represents.
The 1:72 scale is less forgiving of inaccuracies than it might seem — small motifs twist out of shape easily in it. Before moving a decal, let it float on the surface of the water and take it up whole on the tip of a brush or with flat-jawed tweezers, not by its edge. The base has to be glossy. Apply the small lettering last, when the large motifs are already seated and there is no risk of tearing them off while handling the model.
This is an accessory for a model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
