An extensive set of resin (3D-printed) figures from the South Korean maker Tori Factory. The package holds over 330 small figures of the crew members of an American warship captured in the salute pose. It is an accessory meant to bring the deck of a ship model in 1:200 scale to life, not a stand-alone model of a vessel.
The figures represent US Navy sailors in ordinary service uniforms. The muster formation and saluting belonged to the daily rhythm of service aboard heavy ships. The large number of characters makes it possible to fill the deck, the bridges and the walkways and so to create a convincing impression of a fully manned ship.
First wash the print resin residue off the parts, carefully separate the small print supports and glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Given the size of the figures, painting with a brush and a fine wash to bring out the details work well. Wear respiratory protection while sanding.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
