A resin set of two sprockets for the King Tiger, the late type with 18 teeth (pattern 1) in 1:35 scale. A precise replacement for the plastic parts from the box for more faithful running gear.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not a model of a tank but a detail accessory (aftermarket) for building one. The set holds two resin sprockets with 18 teeth in the late type version, pattern 1, intended to replace the plastic sprockets on a model of the King Tiger (Tiger II) heavy tank in 1:35 scale. The castings have a crisp rendition of the teeth and the lightening holes which injected plastic usually cannot reach.
The sprocket drives the track and its shape changed on the King Tiger during production. A faithful 18-tooth wheel of the late type refines the running gear and is the logical choice where you are building a late production version of the vehicle or completing a track from individual links.
First wash the mold release residue off the parts, cut them off the casting gates carefully and fit them to the axles of the running gear. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. Seat the wheels so that they line up with the idler wheels and the upper run of the track.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. Paints, glue and the base kit are not included in the package.
