The resin figure Fallen Rebel No. 1 in 1:35 from Mantis Miniatures. An unassembled and unpainted figure of a fallen fighter for dioramas.
Responsibility details are not available.
This resin figure from the Polish maker Mantis Miniatures shows a fallen African fighter in 1:35 scale. It belongs to a series of figures of African rebels and is meant as a dramatic element for combat dioramas. The figure is caught in a collapsed position, propping itself up, with the rifle laid aside and one sandal come off. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The figure factually rounds out combat scenes from the setting of the African conflicts, where it completes the story of a diorama alongside standing or sheltering figures and vehicles. A fallen figure is often used to balance a composition and to heighten the drama of a scene.
Wash the resin parts free of mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and sand the surfaces with your breathing protected. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). For skin and cloth, acrylics and oil paints prove themselves; a fine wash will bring out the folds and the detail. With a prone figure, take care to seat it properly into the ground of the base.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base are not included in the package.
