A set of miniature backpacks of the American ALICE carrying system (All-purpose Lightweight Individual Carrying Equipment) cast in resin in 1:35 scale. These are not figures or a kit; it is an equipment accessory with which you can bring figures, vehicle interiors or a corner of a scene to life. The maker is the Polish brand Mantis Miniatures.
The ALICE system was the standard load-carrying equipment of the American army from the 1970s to the 1990s. Backpacks of various sizes served the infantry for carrying personal gear and are a characteristic feature of the soldiers of that time. The set therefore suits scenes with American infantry of that period.
Wash the resin castings in lukewarm water with detergent to remove the mold release agent. Cut off the casting blocks and clean up the joins, then glue the parts with super glue (cyanoacrylate). We recommend applying a primer and painting with acrylics; the texture of the cloth and the straps will be brought out by a wash and dry-brushing.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and figures are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
