An interior in a diorama only comes to life once somebody lives in it. A stove is ideal for that: it is one of those objects that catch the eye at once in any room, and yet it takes up little space. This one is square, with a hotplate and a stovepipe, that is in the form in which workshops, kitchens and improvised quarters were heated. The set is from a range of small accessories meant for quickly rounding out a scene, and it is supplied unpainted.
The package contains the parts of one square stove in 1:35 scale. The maker does not state the exact number of parts in the available data. Terrain, furniture, paints and glue are not included.
First wash the parts in lukewarm water with a detergent and let them dry, and only then prime them. Cast iron looks best when you paint it dark gray rather than black and tune the surface with graphite powder or a very fine drybrush in a metallic shade. Add a hint of soot and rust around the door and on the hotplate. Fit the stovepipe at the very end so that it is not in the way during painting, and where it passes through the wall add a little mortar or a sheet-metal collar.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
